Die Firma wurde als Nachfolgerin der Österreichischen Orgelbau AG Cäcilia von Max Dreher und Leopold Flamm gegründet.

1954 erfolgte die Umbenennung in „Dreher & Reinisch„, da Max Reinisch zwischenzeitlich in die Firma eingetreten war.
